<aside> ❗ Letter of recommendations are sooooo important. They are the only third person account of who you are and why a school should accept you! There are 2 big pieces of advice I can give you when it comes to your letters of recommendation:

1. Choose recommenders who know you very well

You want to have recommenders who can really bring you to life for the admissions committee. Someone who you've worked closely with is going to write a much better letter of recommendation than someone with a fancy title who maybe doesn't know you as personally.

2. Prep your recommenders!

Writing letters of recommendation is a time-consuming process, so you'll want to give them as much information as possible to make their lives easier. For example, if your manager is writing your letter of recommendation, be sure to compile any and all written feedback that person has given you in the past so that they have it for easy reference when writing your letter.
